“SheShines” is a new program under Syngenta Bangladesh’s Sustainability Program that aims to empower rural women by increasing their position in the agricultural value chain, financial independence, and capacity building.
Hedayet Ullah, Managing Director of Syngenta Bangladesh, presided over the launch event, which was attended by rural women and Ms. Zinat Ara, Director General (Additional Secretary), Department of Jute, Ministry of Textile and Jute.
SheShine is a platform that helps Bangladeshi rural women realize their full potential, not just a project. Prioritizing skill development is consistent with capacity building, cottage, micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises, and information and financial access. We’re clearing the path to economic independence and the accomplishment of the Sustainable Development Goals.
Despite being the backbone of rural economies, women frequently do not have access to opportunities and resources. Syngenta wants to close this gap by giving rural women the skills, resources, and financial access they need to succeed through SheShines. This program demonstrates Syngenta’s enduring dedication to sustainable rural development and gender equality.
