Female-founded luxury fragrance house La Proue is making its Hollywood debut at the 78th Emmy Awards Official Giving Suite, where its newly launched fragrances will be introduced to television stars attending the event.

Founded by Leighanne Neville, La Proue will showcase its two Eau de Parfums, Phare 143 and Voilune, at the official backstage Giving Suite produced by Distinctive Assets in support of the Television Academy Foundation. The exclusive experience will welcome Emmy presenters, performers and nominees.

Among the invited guests expected at the Giving Suite are Jamie Lee Curtis, Lisa Kudrow, Michelle Pfeiffer, Jean Smart, Zendaya, Quinta Brunson, Keri Russell, Claire Danes, Carey Mulligan and Dakota Fanning, with Mariska Hargitay hosting this year’s ceremony.

For Neville, the Hollywood debut reflects the ideas behind La Proue, a brand built around confidence, independence and women charting their own paths. The name La Proue is French for “the bow of the ship”, drawing on Neville’s lifelong connection to the sea and the idea of moving forward with purpose.

Neville grew up on the coast of Massachusetts as the only girl among six brothers. Her early experiences on the water, including learning to navigate and drive a boat at a young age, influenced the philosophy behind the fragrance house and its focus on women taking the helm of their own lives.

La Proue’s debut collection includes Phare 143, a floral fragrance inspired by salt air and first light, and Voilune, which takes inspiration from the atmosphere of the coast at dusk. Both fragrances are hand-poured in California, made with clean ingredients and Leaping Bunny certified.

The brand also has a wider purpose beyond fragrance. After more than three decades working in finance and venture-backed companies, Neville said she saw the challenges women entrepreneurs face in accessing capital and opportunity. La Proue therefore established the Women at the Helm Fund, through which a portion of every purchase supports initiatives that uplift, mentor and fund women entrepreneurs.

The Emmy appearance gives the young fragrance house an opportunity to introduce its products to a high-profile audience while bringing greater visibility to its wider mission around women, entrepreneurship and independence.

The 78th Emmy Awards will take place on 14 September at the Peacock Theater at L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles. La Proue’s Phare 143 and Voilune Eau de Parfums are priced at US$115 each.
