Accenture has appointed Emma Chalwin as its new Chief Marketing Officer, with the experienced technology marketing executive set to take up the role on 1 October 2026.

Chalwin will oversee Accenture’s global marketing and communications organisations and will report directly to Julie Sweet, Chair and Chief Executive Officer of Accenture.

She joins Accenture from Workday, where she served as Chief Marketing Officer and was responsible for building the company’s global brand and driving customer demand across international markets. Before joining Workday, Chalwin held senior marketing leadership positions at Salesforce, Adobe, McAfee and Macrovision.

Chalwin brings more than 30 years of global marketing experience, with a career focused on technology and helping companies communicate complex products and innovations to customers. Her experience spans brand development, customer demand, communications and growth.

At Accenture, Chalwin will take on the role as the company continues to expand its work in artificial intelligence and business reinvention. The company said her experience connecting brand, demand and sales will support its efforts to communicate the value of its technology and AI capabilities to clients around the world.

Welcoming the appointment, Julie Sweet described Chalwin as a proven growth leader with the ability to translate emerging technologies into client value and commercial impact.

Chalwin has also received recognition within the marketing industry. She has been included on Forbes’ World’s Most Influential CMOs list, the B2B CMO 100 and Chief’s New Era of Leadership list. She is also a member of the Fortune Most Powerful Women network.

In her new position, Chalwin said she is looking forward to building on Accenture’s brand as organisations rethink growth and business models in the age of AI. She will lead the company’s global marketing and communications operations as Accenture continues to position technology and artificial intelligence at the centre of its growth strategy.
