Women in Management and Business and Public Service (WIMBIZ), a renowned non-profit organization, has announced the appointment of Omowunmi Akingbohungbe as its new executive director.

Akingbohungbe steps into this pivotal role succeeding the esteemed Hansatu Adegbite, who has admirably served as the executive director for over seven years. Bringing to the table a wealth of experience spanning 18 years in both finance and not-for-profit sectors, Akingbohungbe is hailed as an outstanding professional. Her track record includes playing instrumental roles in strategic partnerships, business development, sustainability management, and corporate social responsibility initiatives, earning her well-deserved accolades as an award-winning leader.

Akingbohungbe holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Olabisi Onabanjo University and a Master’s Degree in Global Human Resource Management from the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom. She has further honed her skills through participation in the Master Class Academy, Global Banking Alliance for Women in the Netherlands, and is recognized as a certified Customer Service Trainer by the Service Quality Institute, USA.
