Spanx founder Sara Blakley to launch a new footwear company named Sneex. This will be launched on August 20th. Sneex is a footwear company focused on making comfortable high heels.

“I’ve been secretly working on/dreaming about something for years. A new invention, and a new brand,” she posted on Instagram.

Blakely has been working on the shoes for nine years, according to the brand’s website. Made in Spain, the patented design is a sneaker-stiletto hybrid (adorably dubbed “hy-heels”) with a 78mm heel and materials including Italian mesh, napa leather, and suede. Major discomfort locations in a standard high heel are addressed by the design, which also has an arch support, a pleasant toe box, and redesigned weight distribution.

“Back in start-up mode. Let’s GOOOO! Another company with boxes in the garage. Reliving my [Spanx] days for sure. Only this time I actually have a garage. When I started Spanx I was in an apartment and they left all the boxes on my front porch. Oh… and I’ve got 4 kids in start-up mode now,” she captioned on Instagram.

Blakely has experience developing novel, fresh products. Spanx was started by her in 2000, and in 2021, the shapewear company was valued at $1.2 billion when Blackstone, a prominent private equity firm, acquired a controlling share in it.
