Sookmyung Women’s University has reached a new agreement with Aumovio, a global firm specialising in automotive electronics. The two organisations signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Wednesday 29 April 2026 to cooperate on talent development within the future mobility sector. The ceremony took place at the university’s Administration Building and included senior leadership from both sides.
This partnership is part of the University Job Plus Center project supported by the Ministry of Employment and Labor. The university seeks to create systematic career support and education programmes tailored to the needs of the modern industry. Attendees included Sookmyung Women’s University President Moon Si-yeon and Aumovio Korea CEO Kang Dong-yoon.
The programme will focus on software-driven vehicle roles. Students can expect a step-by-step curriculum that covers career exploration, field training and eventual job placement. A key part of the initiative involves ‘Aumovio Ambassadors’. These are current industry experts who will provide job-specific lectures and mentoring. Further activities include site visits, project-based learning and internships that may lead to permanent recruitment.
Aumovio Korea CEO Kang Dong-yoon said: “We hope that through industry-academia collaboration with Sookmyung Women’s University, young talents will gain practical skills by directly experiencing global-level technology sites and that this will serve as a practical stepping stone for them to grow into professionals who will lead the future mobility era.”
Director of the University Job Plus Center Son Seo-hee said: “We will provide differentiated career development opportunities to current students, graduates, and local youth by strengthening specialized future mobility programs, field-linked projects, and job boot camps.”
Aumovio began operating as an independent entity in September last year. It took over the automotive electronics division of Continental Automotive Group. The company currently manages sensor solutions, display systems and software for architecture platforms. By connecting these industrial resources with the university’s career development programmes, the partnership aims to help students enter promising technical fields.
