In a bid to empower and uplift female entrepreneurs, She Talks Asia, a renowned women empowerment platform, has joined forces with Lazada Philippines for an inspiring event aimed at fostering mentorship and knowledge-sharing among women in business.

Dubbed “The Mentorship Mindset,” this collaboration signifies She Talks Asia’s commitment to providing women with the tools and wisdom needed to thrive in the entrepreneurial landscape. Held on April 27, 2024, the event served as She Talks Asia’s first Tribe Meet-Up of the year, bringing together a diverse group of aspiring and established female entrepreneurs eager to learn and grow.

The partnership with Lazada Philippines is a strategic move, as Lazada, being the leading e-commerce platform, has long been dedicated to supporting local MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) and nurturing Filipino entrepreneurship. Through its PiliPino campaign, Lazada aims not only to celebrate Filipino culture and creativity but also to empower women entrepreneurs and uplift the local creative economy.

Pauline Castro, Lazada Philippines Head of User Product Operations, emphasized the importance of shared learning and peer-to-peer mentorship in empowering women sellers. “At Lazada, our sellers and brands are at the heart of our business, and we recognize the importance of shared learning and peer-to-peer mentorship. Our partnership with She Talks Asia allows us to further our mission to empower women sellers, an integral part of PiliPino by Lazada, our umbrella campaign for choosing Filipino as our social responsibility,” she remarked.

The Mentorship Mindset event featured a lineup of esteemed business mentors, including prominent Lazada sellers, who shared their invaluable experiences and insights. From the subtleties of coaching to the challenges of sustaining a business, attendees gained practical knowledge and inspiration to fuel their entrepreneurial journeys.

Moderated by Rizza Lana, a seasoned entrepreneur with diverse experience across various industries, the event delved into concrete strategies for overcoming challenges, executing swiftly, and building effective teams. Participants also had the opportunity to engage directly with the speakers during breakout sessions, seeking personalized advice tailored to their business needs.

Bianca Gonzalez, She Talks Asia Co-Founder and newly announced COO, highlighted the power of intergenerational wisdom and the invaluable lessons shared by female entrepreneurs of different ages and backgrounds. “She Talks Asia believes in the power of intergenerational wisdom, and we share that vision with Lazada Philippines. With this Tribe Meet-Up, there is so much to learn these inspiring female entrepreneurs of different ages and whose businesses are in different phases,” she noted.

She Talks Asia Co-founder and CEO, expressed pride in the partnership with Lazada Philippines, envisioning it as a catalyst for impactful change in the business world.

“We are proud to partner with Lazada Philippines for an initiative on mentorship and harnessing the power of women mentors in helping others find opportunities they might not have had to access to otherwise. We hope this effort will help kick-start the journey of many women towards success, leadership, and impactful change in the business world” She Talks Asia Co-founder and CEO Lynn Pinugu said.

The collaborative effort between She Talks Asia and Lazada Philippines underscores their shared commitment to empowering women, fostering mentorship, and creating opportunities for success and leadership in the entrepreneurial sphere.
