As part of the global Ring the Bell for Gender Equality campaign, Nigerian Exchange Group (NGX Group) and Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) are set to host a special event on March 7 to mark International Women’s Day (IWD) 2025.

NGX Group has long been a champion of gender equality, driving initiatives to close gaps in leadership, employment, and entrepreneurship in Nigeria’s corporate sector. Through strategic partnerships like the Nigeria2Equal Project with IFC, the organisation continues to foster meaningful change across industries.

The event will welcome Hannatu Musa Musawa, Minister of Arts, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy, as the Special Guest. She will be joined by leading female board members of NGX Group and its subsidiaries, including Ojinika Olaghere, Director, NGX Group, Mosun Belo-Olusoga, Director, NGX Group, Ngozi Edozien, Chairperson, NGX Real Estate, Lilian Olubi, Director, Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX), and Amina Mohammed, Director, NGX Regulation.

These industry leaders will spearhead discussions on gender equality and empowerment, exploring ways to foster more inclusive opportunities for women in the financial and corporate sectors.

Speaking on the significance of the event, Temi Popoola, Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, NGX Group and Chairman, CSCS, stated:

“As Africa’s leading integrated financial market infrastructure group, we are strategically driving gender equality through transformed policies, inclusive financial instruments, and pathways that unlock women’s economic potential. Our IWD celebration highlights our commitment to partnerships and market innovations that make gender equality fundamental to Nigeria’s economic growth.”

With a diverse range of industry experts and thought leaders in attendance, the event promises to be a key platform for advancing gender equality discussions and shaping a more inclusive future for women in business and finance.
