Female business owners can access non-dilutive funding this month through a selection of 13 grant initiatives highlighted by media network Entreprenista. The list of opportunities arrives as figures from Carta’s 2024 Annual Equity Report show that companies founded exclusively by women received only 5.3% of the capital invested through priced equity rounds in 2024. The highlighted funding programs aim to address these capital disparities across various business sectors.
Several programs offer immediate cash allocations and operational support. The Shophand Small Business Boost Grant provides $5,000 alongside tailored technical and marketing guidance, while the Black & Brown Founders Empower Growth Fund awards four $5,000 grants to assist with business scaling. Additionally, The Sky Is Not the Limit Social Impact Grant supplies $10,000 in branding, marketing and technology assistance.
A series of micro-grant deadlines close on 31 August 2026. These include the $1,000 HerRise MicroGrant for women of color, the $1,000 YippityDoo Big Idea Grant, the $1,000 SpringWell360 Health Equity Grant, the $1,000 Hustler’s MicroGrant and the $500 Freed Fellowship Grant. The $5,000 Women Founders Grant also carries an end-of-month application deadline.
Larger awards include the Amber Grant for Women, which offers a $10,000 monthly grant, and the Social Shifters Global Innovation Challenge, which delivers up to $15,000 for founders aged 18 to 30. Furthermore, the Verizon Small Business Digital Ready Grant offers ongoing eligibility for $10,000 allocations after applicants complete two free online courses.
Commenting on the launch of their joint initiative, Entreprenista co-founder Stephanie Cartin stated: “Courtney and I know what it feels like to be clear on exactly what your business needs, but not yet have the funding to make it happen. That’s why we created the Entreprenista Evolve Grant presented by IT Cosmetics.” The seasonal $5,000 grant caters to revenue-generating female founders with over $100,000 in annual turnover, with applications open until 11 November 2026.
