Locus Robotics has announced the promotion of Gina Chung to the role of Chief Strategy Officer. The Massachusetts-based company is a prominent provider of warehouse automation solutions. In this new position, Chung will be responsible for several key areas including global corporate strategy, product direction and go-to-market plans. Her remit also extends to corporate development, mergers and acquisitions and strategic partnerships.

Chung previously served as the Vice President of Corporate Development since joining the business in 2023. During her time in that role, she was instrumental in managing the company’s strategic business development and market intelligence. This latest appointment reflects the firm’s focus on disciplined growth and the importance of AI in modern logistics. The company aims to simplify operational complexity for its global clients through its automated platform.

Rick Faulk, CEO of Locus Robotics, said: “The next decade of warehouse automation will be defined by global scale, applied AI, and the ability to transform operational complexity into measurable customer value. Gina brings the strategic rigor, customer insight, and automation expertise required to help Locus Robotics strengthen its leadership as the market evolves. Her appointment sharpens the connection between our market strategy, product direction, partnerships, and growth priorities as we continue scaling globally.”

Chung has a background in supply chain innovation and technology partnerships. Before joining Locus Robotics, she was Vice President of Innovation at DHL. There, she managed global R&D and the implementation of automation across supply chain networks. She also launched the DHL Americas Innovation Center in Chicago. Originally from New Zealand, she holds two degrees from the University of Auckland.

Gina Chung said: “The opportunity in front of Locus Robotics is enormous. Physical AI and warehouse automation are at an inflection point, and customers are looking for automation platforms that can scale globally, adapt quickly, and deliver measurable operational impact. Locus Robotics is uniquely positioned to meet that need, and I’m excited to help advance our strategy, strengthen our partnerships, and support the next chapter of growth.”

The promotion consolidates various growth functions under one leadership role. As warehouse automation becomes a primary investment for supply chain operators, the company expects this move to strengthen its global market position.
