H World Group to change the Board of Directors composition

H World has decided to change its Board of Directors’ composition. They have announced that Mr. Shangzhi Zhang will step down as a director of the board of directors of the Company and will resume the role of observer of the Board. He will be replaced by Ms. Jie Zheng, a senior advisor of the Company and a supervisory board member of Steigenberger Hotels GmbH, H World’s subsidiary company.

Ms ZheDiverseng resumes her role in the H World group with 20 years of leadership experience in the automotive and hospitality sectors. Ms. Zheng is currently with Peeli Ventures, providing management consulting for portfolio companies in consumer goods and MarTech industries. She had previously served H World as the chief strategist. Ms. Zheng was awarded the Most Influential Business Women in China by Fortune in 2011, 2014, 2017, and 2018 respectively. She has also received the Mulan Award for Top Business Women in China by China Entrepreneur for six consecutive years since 2013.

Mr. Qi Ji, the Company’s founder and the executive chairman of the Board, commented, “I would like to congratulate Jie on her new role as an executive director of the Board. We are certain that Jie’s strong leadership, together with her extensive expertise and experiences in various industries, will be valuable to the Board.
