The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has earmarked ₱2 billion from the Small Business Corporation (SBCorp) fund for the Women’s Enterprise Fund (WEF) in 2026, as part of efforts to expand access to finance for women entrepreneurs.

The allocation is intended to support women-led businesses that are seeking to scale operations, hire more workers and increase their economic contribution. At the same time, the programme aims to help Filipina entrepreneurs start or expand businesses, with the wider goal of improving household income and financial stability.

According to the DTI, the Women’s Enterprise Fund recognises the growing role of women in driving economic activity and seeks to address persistent barriers to capital faced by micro, small and medium enterprises.

“We continue to support women entrepreneurs seeking local and global expansion, while also opening opportunities for those ready to expand, create jobs, and strengthen local economies. We understand that capital is a challenge to many, and the DTI through SBCorp have tailored programs to meet the needs of our MSMEs like this Women’s Enterprise Fund,” Secretary Roque said.

The Women’s Enterprise Fund is available to women-owned and women-led micro, small and medium enterprises (WMSMEs), offering a range of financing features designed to meet different business needs.

Under the programme, loan amounts range from ₱30,000 to ₱20 million. Eligible borrowers may benefit from a grace period, with no payment of capital or interest required during the first year. Repayment terms are flexible, with options of up to five years. Collateral requirements are waived for loans of up to ₱5 million.

To improve accessibility, SBCorp has streamlined the application process. Entrepreneurs can apply digitally through the SBCorp Money App, which is available on Google Play and Huawei AppGallery, or through the web-based platform at app.sbcorp.ph.

Applicants who require additional support can also visit any of the 1,431 Negosyo Centers across the country. These centres provide advice on business opportunities and guidance on how to access DTI programmes aimed at helping enterprises grow. Further information is available through the DTI hotline at 1-384.

The DTI said the expanded credit facility reflects its continued focus on improving financial access for women entrepreneurs and supporting inclusive business growth across the Philippines.
