Contact Financial Holding is further cementing its role as a development partner in Egypt through new efforts aimed at promoting responsible business conduct, transparency, and equal opportunity. A key part of this strategy includes empowering women in the workplace. In line with this commitment, Contact Insurance Brokerage, the Group’s insurance brokerage arm, has officially joined the UN Global Compact Network Egypt (UNGCNE), and pledged its support for the network’s flagship women’s empowerment initiative, “Bloom with Purpose.”
“Bloom with Purpose” is a Pearson-certified programme aimed at supporting women in middle management by equipping them with strategic leadership capabilities, emotional intelligence, and the decision-making skills required to move into senior executive roles. The initiative aims to help build a more inclusive and resilient business landscape across Egypt.
By becoming a participant in the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative, Contact Insurance Brokerage is deepening its focus on ethical business and long-term social impact. The partnership enhances the company’s profile in Egypt’s insurance sector and offers access to a wide network of global resources, knowledge, and capacity-building opportunities. These include business accelerators in key areas such as Business & Human Rights, Climate Ambition, SDG Innovation, and Business Integrity.
Contact Insurance Brokerage will also engage in the Sustain360 programme, UNGCNE’s flagship initiative for building ESG capabilities in the private sector. Additionally, it will have full access to the UN Global Compact Academy, the UN’s digital learning platform that provides practical, on-demand training for businesses seeking to integrate sustainability into their core operations and leadership structures.
“At Contact Insurance Brokerage, we believe that women’s empowerment and good governance are not merely social responsibilities; they are fundamental pillars for building strong and sustainable institutions. Our partnership with the UN Global Compact Network Egypt (UNGCNE) is a natural extension of our vision to cultivate a workplace rooted in diversity, equality, and innovation, where equal opportunity is a core value guiding everything we do,” said Mrs. Nehal Break, Chairman and Managing Director of Contact Insurance Brokerage.
“We consider women’s empowerment a strategic priority, essential to achieving sustainable economic growth and strengthening our competitiveness as a leading company in the Egyptian market. This partnership offers a framework of global standards and best practices that will help translate our vision into action while generating measurable impact across our business and the broader community. We hope this step marks the beginning of a broader journey of impactful initiatives in the near future,” she added.
Commenting on the partnership, Mrs. Walaa El-Husseiny, CEO of the UN Global Compact Network Egypt, said, “We value our collaboration with Contact Group, though our partnership with Contact Insurance Brokerage reflects a strong alignment with our mission. Their support for Bloom with Purpose initiative stands as a clear testament to their commitment to empowering women in decision-making roles.”
Mrs. El-Husseiny continued, “This partnership lays the foundation for impactful, long-term cooperation that we believe will resonate across Egypt’s financial sector and labor market. The active engagement of private sector leaders like Contact Insurance Brokerage is essential to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and strengthening women’s leadership across the country.”
This latest collaboration reflects Contact Insurance Brokerage’s continued commitment to creating sustainable social impact and aligns closely with the group’s wider focus on gender equality, quality education, decent work, and strong governance practices in support of the SDGs.
