Transport for All has confirmed the appointment of Jen Browning as its new Chief Executive Officer, with her tenure officially beginning in October 2026.
She joins the national advocacy organisation with more than twenty years of leadership experience across disability rights, organisational management and governance. Browning most recently spent five years at UK Sport, supporting national governing bodies across Olympic and Paralympic disciplines to strengthen internal culture and long-term delivery.
Her previous experience includes serving as Chief Executive Officer of Canoe Wales. Earlier in her career, she worked with Disabled People’s Organisations in lower-income countries, coordinating peer education and rights initiatives for wheelchair users.
Browning first became active in disability campaigning through adaptive sport in California. As a wheelchair user, she competed internationally for Team USA in wheelchair basketball, winning a Paralympic gold medal at the Athens 2004 Games.
Her appointment coincides with major policy developments across the UK transport sector. Transport for All is preparing to engage with structural rail reforms through Great British Railways, alongside government responses to the Timms Review and wider ministerial policy directives.
Founded by disabled campaigners, Transport for All operates as a Disabled People’s Organisation guided by the social model of disability, co-production and lived experience. The group campaigns to ensure public transport networks deliver equal access, dignity and independence for disabled passengers.

What has always stood out to me is that Transport for All’s authority comes from the people at the heart of it. The organisation doesn’t simply speak about disabled people’s experiences – it creates the space for disabled people to lead, influence and shape change themselves. That commitment to lived experience and co-production is one of the things I admire most about the organisation.
We have some significant opportunities ahead. The implementation of the Timms Review, the creation of Great British Railways and wider transport reforms will shape accessibility for a generation. Transport for All has a vital role to play in ensuring disabled people are not just consulted on those changes but are at the table, shaping decisions.
I am excited to work alongside Transport for All’s members, staff and partners to build on the organisation’s incredible history, strengthen its impact and help create a transport system that truly works for everyone.”
