The government housing agency Homes England has confirmed the appointment of Melanie Montanari as its new Chief Operating Officer. The addition comes as the public body readies itself for a demanding year of regional property and infrastructure development.

Montanari joins the executive board during an essential phase for the national developer. The agency is currently refocusing its efforts on collaborating with local authorities, increasing the national housing supply and executing a massive schedule of building and urban regeneration. Her arrival is designed to guarantee that the body possesses the internal capabilities and leadership required to complete large-scale infrastructure projects quickly.

With an extensive background in public and corporate administration, Montanari has spent her career directing major operational setups and overseeing highly complex public works. In her role as Chief Operating Officer, she will be tasked with assisting agency teams and external industry partners to achieve their shared urban planning goals. She will officially assume her duties on 7 September.
