Early-stage venture capital firm Fika Ventures has promoted Gabriella Brignardello to Partner, recognising her leadership and long-term contribution to the Los Angeles-based firm.
The promotion was announced on 27 January and comes five years after Brignardello joined Fika Ventures as a Senior Associate, when the firm employed a team of five. She most recently served as Principal and has been closely involved in the firm’s expansion and investment strategy.
In her new role, Brignardello will continue to lead investments across fintech and vertical AI, with a particular focus on opportunities linked to the built world. She has worked alongside founders at several portfolio companies, including Payabli, MaxHome, Clerq, SubBase and Datum Source, which was acquired by Hadrian in 2024.
During her time at Fika Ventures, Brignardello has contributed to a number of complex transactions and played a role in firm operations and governance. She has also been involved in shaping the company’s internal culture and approach to collaboration with founders.
“I’m deeply grateful to the founders who have trusted me as a partner and to the Fika team for their unwavering mentorship, support, and shared commitment to our founders and to backing enduring, industry-defining companies,” said Gabriella Brignardello, General Partner at Fika Ventures.
TX Zhuo, General Partner at Fika Ventures, said the firm was pleased to welcome her into the partnership. “She is a trusted advisor and valued partner who elevates both our portfolio companies and the entire Fika team—truly a force for our founders and our firm,” Zhuo said.
Before joining Fika Ventures, Brignardello worked in venture investing at WndrCo, a technology holding company, where her responsibilities included sourcing, diligence and portfolio operations. Earlier in her career, she was a strategy consultant at Parthenon-EY, advising clients across industrials, technology and consumer sectors.
Brignardello is a first-generation American and the founder of Mi Casa de Angeles, a 501(c)(3) non-profit focused on improving access to quality education in underserved communities in Peru, her father’s home country. She is also involved in initiatives supporting women in technology and finance, including mentoring with Synergist, participating in All Raise and organising a female fintech founder dinner series in major US cities.
She also leads LA Tech Day of Service, a quarterly volunteer initiative co-organised by Fika Ventures and Silicon Valley Bank that brings together members of the Los Angeles technology community to support local non-profits.
“It’s an honor to step into the Partner role at Fika,” Brignardello said. “From day one, Fika’s founder-first, people-centric culture and approach to investing is what drew me in and continues to ground me every day.”
Brignardello holds a BS in Symbolic Systems: Human Computer Interaction from Stanford University.
