TeamLease Services Limited has announced a major leadership transition as part of its long-term succession and governance plans, appointing Suparna Mitra as the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer effective 2 February 2026. She will take over from Ashok Reddy, who has led the organisation as Managing Director & CEO.

Under the changes approved by the Board of Directors, Ashok Reddy will assume the role of Executive Vice Chairman, working closely with Suparna to support strategy and ensure continuity across core initiatives. Co-founder Manish Sabharwal will step down from his executive duties but will remain on the Board as a Non-Executive Non-Independent Director. Narayan Ramachandran will continue as Chairman.

In a statement, Ashok said, “This transition is the logical next step for Manish and me. Our executive roles were always distinct from our board member and shareholder roles, which continue. The next orbit for Teamlease – higher margins, faster growth and institutionalisation – will benefit from leadership instincts that are fresh and different from ours. Suparna brings a powerful combination of strategic thinking, consumer insight, and technology orientation that accelerates TeamLease’s mission of putting India to work.”

Suparna joins TeamLease from Titan Company Limited, where she most recently served as CEO of the Watches & Wearables Division. An alumna of IIM Calcutta and Jadavpur University, she has held leadership positions across consumer brands, retail, and technology-led businesses. During her tenure at Titan, the Watches & Wearables division delivered 2x revenue growth in three years, reaching Rs. 4,500 crore in FY 2024–25, while also strengthening its premium segment and expanding its wearables portfolio. She previously worked with Hindustan Lever Limited and Arvind Brands, and has led large teams managing complex operations and P&Ls.

Recognised among India’s Most Powerful Women in Business, Suparna also serves on the Board of Swiggy and is a member of the Board of Governors at IIM Kozhikode. “I am honoured to join TeamLease at such a pivotal moment for India and its employment landscape,” she said. “TeamLease has built a unique foundation across staffing, skilling, and compliance, touching millions of lives every year. I look forward to working with the Board and the leadership team to unlock the next phase of growth, digital innovation, and social impact.”

Chairman Narayan Ramachandran welcomed the appointment, describing her as “a proven transformation architect” with the capabilities needed for the company’s next chapter. He also acknowledged the contributions of co-founders Ashok and Manish, noting the company’s growth to over ₹11,000 crore in revenue, operations across 800+ locations, and a 4x increase in EBITDA since listing. He highlighted their role in building business verticals such as NETAP, specialised staffing, HRTech, RegTech, and EdTech.
