Professional Women in Construction New York (PWC NY) has announced the appointment of Katie Nilsen, Vice President of Development & Strategy at E-J Electric Installation Co., as President of its Board of Directors for 2026.

In her new role, Nilsen will head PWC New York’s Board of Directors, leading efforts to advance the organisation’s mission of promoting, supporting, and connecting women and diverse professionals across the architecture, engineering, construction (AEC), and real estate sectors. Her focus will be on driving equity, expanding opportunity, and guiding the chapter’s programmes, partnerships, and initiatives.

“I am honored to take on the role of Board President for PWC New York,” said Katie Nilsen. “This organization has been a powerful force in creating opportunities and elevating women leaders in construction and related industries. I look forward to working with our dedicated board, members, and partners to continue building an inclusive and innovative future for our industry.”

Nilsen, who entered the construction sector later in her career, has since become a recognised industry leader. She has built a reputation for driving strategic growth through design-build innovation, national projects, and cross-sector collaboration. Her achievements have earned her several accolades.

As an active PWC member, Nilsen has been a consistent advocate for mentoring and professional development, committed to helping emerging talent build successful careers within the AEC field.
