Women in Football has strengthened its board with the appointment of four new non-executive directors. Maggie Murphy, Rafaela Pimienta, Nuria Tarre, and Zoe Webber have joined the board to help achieve Women in Football’s strategic goals.

WIF Chair Ebru Köksal, CFA said: “We are delighted to welcome Maggie, Nuria, Rafaela and Zoe to the WIF board as of 1 April 2025. Their appointment marks an exciting step forward in our mission to drive meaningful and lasting change in the game.”

“Throughout the recruitment process, we were truly humbled by the incredible calibre and number of applicants, which is a testament to the growing momentum behind our work and the collective desire to shape a more inclusive football industry. Given the exceptional talent and experience we encountered, we made the decision to expand our board beyond our initial plans by appointing four outstanding non-executive directors.

“Each of these accomplished leaders brings a wealth of strategic insight and industry influence, as well as international experience, spanning areas such as football governance, commercial strategy, player representation, and leadership in global organisations. Their expertise will be instrumental in shaping our long-term vision, strengthening our advocacy for inclusion and equity, and forging new collaborations across the football ecosystem.”

Over 500 attendees will gather at Wembley Stadium on Wednesday, March 26th for WIF’s annual Be Inspired Conference, presented in collaboration with Barclays.

WIF will also conduct its yearly survey in the spring of 2025 to learn more about the thoughts and experiences of football volunteers and employees. The results offer a continuous and frequently enlightening assessment of the industry’s progress towards gender equality when compared to findings from prior years.
