Procter & Gamble (P&G) has recently concluded its third annual Women Entrepreneurs Academy in Dubai, marking another successful chapter in its commitment to empowering women-owned businesses. The initiative was tailored to provide specialized business development training, aimed at equipping women entrepreneurs to elevate their ventures.

The academy featured a diverse curriculum designed to address key aspects of business growth. Topics ranged from Building Leadership Skills to Aligning and Executing Business Strategy, Empowering Advocacy, Maximizing Impact & Influence, Brand Building Strategy, Leveraging Technology, Making Inroads to MNCs, Financial Business Modeling, and Procurement Processes. Sixteen carefully selected participants had the opportunity to engage in training sessions and network with industry leaders, gaining invaluable insights into crucial business domains.

A highlight of the event was the keynote address delivered by Her Excellency, Dr. Farah Al Zarooni, Assistant Undersecretary at the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT). Additionally, a stimulating panel discussion featuring influential figures from P&G and prominent market leaders enriched the event. Participants included Dr. Sawsan Al Madhi, Founder of Alignneficient; Nadine Mezher, Co-Founder of Sarwa; Halima Jumani, CEO and Co-Founder of Kibsons; Dima Tahtah, P&G Sales Senior Director; and Ihinosen Ebinum, P&G Purchasing Senior Director. The discussion, moderated by Suad Shamma, P&G Senior Corporate Communications Manager, facilitated a dynamic exchange of ideas and perspectives.

This initiative underscores P&G’s steadfast commitment to equality and inclusion, as it actively empowers women-owned businesses. By accelerating progress towards achieving gender equality, P&G aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goal #5. Over the years, the Women Entrepreneurs Academy has positively impacted over 500 women from 12 countries, equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge to kickstart and expand their businesses effectively.
