Zurich Takaful Malaysia Berhad (ZTMB) has announced the appointment of Nur Fatihah Mustafa as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective June 4, 2024. This announcement, shared through the company’s official LinkedIn statement, marks a significant milestone in the corporate landscape of Malaysia.

With this appointment, Nur Fatihah Mustafa etches her name in history as the first woman to helm a takaful operator in Malaysia, a remarkable achievement that underscores the ongoing strides towards gender diversity and inclusion in corporate leadership roles.

Bringing a wealth of experience to her new position, Mustafa boasts a distinguished career spanning over six years within Zurich. Her journey within the company saw her take on various leadership roles, including Head of Planning and Performance Management, along with serving as the FAR Controller – Family and General Takaful. Prior to her tenure at Zurich, Mustafa honed her expertise during an extensive eight-year tenure at HSBC Amanah Takaful (M) Berhad.

In response to Mustafa’s appointment, Zurich Malaysia expressed confidence in her capabilities, stating, “We look forward to her leadership and the positive impact it will bring to ZTMB and the industry as a whole.” This sentiment underscores the anticipation and optimism surrounding Mustafa’s tenure as she assumes this pivotal role within the organization.
