Texas-based property management firm REEP Residential has confirmed the appointment of Debbie Waitrek as its new Vice President. The announcement made on March 24, 2026, marks a significant addition to the company leadership team. Waitrek joins the organization with more than 30 years of experience in the real estate and property management sectors.

Throughout her career, Waitrek has managed a wide range of housing assets across several states. Her professional portfolio includes conventional apartments, affordable housing, senior living facilities and new lease-up developments. Before her arrival at REEP, she held senior positions at prominent organizations such as Summit Property Management, RPM Living, Asset Living and Capstone Real Estate Services.

In her new capacity, Waitrek will focus on improving operational systems to benefit both residents and staff. The firm expects her leadership to result in more efficient maintenance response times and clearer communication across its communities. She will also lead the development of on-site teams, including leasing agents and maintenance technicians.

Waitrek has a long history of industry advocacy and education. She served as a Member of the Board of Directors for the San Antonio Apartment Association for 13 years. She has also spent over 12 years as a Delegate for the Texas Apartment Association. Currently, she sits on the Executive Committee at the Texas Apartment Association and serves as Vice Chair on the Affordable Committee at the National Apartment Association.

Jacob Garza, Founder of REEP Residential, said that Waitrek brings a rare combination of deep operational expertise, industry leadership, and a passion for developing high-performing teams. Waitrek holds a degree from The University of Texas at San Antonio. Her appointment comes as REEP Residential looks to grow its management services while maintaining high housing standards in Texas.

Upon accepting the role, Waitrek expressed her commitment to staff development. “I look forward to mentoring and training our talented team, sharing my expertise, and contributing to the continued success of REEP Residential,” she said. The company intends to use her analytical skills and local knowledge to create a more seamless living experience for its residents.
