Manchester City Women have announced a new official partnership with wealth management firm Evelyn Partners, marking a significant step in enhancing financial support for players both during and beyond their careers.

With Evelyn Partners now recognised as the Club’s Official Wealth Management Partner, the firm which manages more than £62 billion in assets will work closely with City to provide financial tools and tailored advice to players at all stages of their professional journeys.

At the centre of the collaboration are two bespoke initiatives: Rethink Rehabilitation and Rethink Retirement. These programmes aim to equip players with practical guidance on financial wellbeing, life planning and career transition.

Rethink Rehabilitation is designed to support athletes recovering from injury, offering resources to help them deal with the implications of time away from football and explore other opportunities during their recovery. Meanwhile, Rethink Retirement will assist players in planning for life after football, focusing on long-term financial strategies, career development and personal growth.

The partnership reflects a shared vision between the club and Evelyn Partners: to create a strong foundation for players to thrive off the pitch as well as on it.

Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw, Manchester City Women’s all-time leading goalscorer and one of the standout figures in women’s football, has been announced as an official ambassador for Evelyn Partners. In her new role, she will promote the importance of financial education and wellbeing throughout the game.

Charlotte O’Neill, Managing Director at Manchester City Women, said: “At City, we believe in developing world-class athletes on the pitch — and strong, confident individuals beyond it.”

She also said, “The partnership with Evelyn Partners represents a shared commitment to ensuring our players are set up for success both now and in the future.

“Through the Rethink programmes, this partnership will deliver meaningful and lasting support for players – allowing them to access new opportunities and build the foundations for a strong, successful future,” she added

Andrew Middleton, Chief Marketing and Commercial Officer of Evelyn Partners, said: “Like Evelyn Partners, Manchester City is an organisation constantly asking: ‘What’s Next?’

“The club has been consistently pioneering in the professionalisation of women’s football, leading the way across youth pathways, elite infrastructure and match day experience.”

“Through the partnership we’re announcing today, we’re delighted to be helping Manchester City Women continue to lead the way, with our joint collaboration on two new player care programmes,” he noted.

“These will help support the players as their careers and financial journeys develop.”

“As part of the partnership, we couldn’t be more thrilled to have Bunny Shaw become an official ambassador for Evelyn Partners.”

“Bunny brings passion and energy both on and off the pitch and she will be an inspirational role model for championing financial education and wellbeing, as together we seek to address the female wealth advice gap,” he added
