LVMH appoints Catherine Newey as Managing Director of DFS Group Limited Europe

Starting June 17, 2024, Catherine Newey will step into her new role as Managing Director of DFS Group Limited Europe, as announced by luxury conglomerate LVMH. Newey’s extensive experience within the LVMH family will be instrumental in her new position, where she will report directly to Benjamin Vuchot, DFS Group’s CEO & Chairman.

Currently serving as the Director at Le Bon Marché, Newey has also held the role of Accessories Marketing Director at Louis Vuitton. Both brands fall under the umbrella of LVMH, showcasing her deep-rooted familiarity with the group’s ethos and operations.

“Catherine is the perfect profile to lead our Europe business and our iconic retail stores La Samaritaine and Fondaco dei Tedeschi in Venice. I am confident that her great sense of leadership will take DFS to higher levels,” stated Vuchot, highlighting the strategic importance of her appointment.

With her extensive background and proven leadership within LVMH’s various brands, Newey is expected to bring a fresh perspective and dynamic approach to DFS Group Limited Europe, enhancing its retail operations and customer engagement strategies across the continent.
