Club Med has appointed Michelle Davies as General Manager of Singapore, Malaysia and Emerging Markets, expanding her leadership responsibilities across Southeast Asia and selected emerging markets.

Announced in November 2026, the appointment sees Davies succeed Olivier Monceau, who has led Club Med’s Singapore and Malaysia operations since 2022. She will be based in the region and work alongside Rachael Harding, Chief Executive Officer of Club Med Southeast Asia and Pacific, and other regional leaders to drive the company’s growth strategy.

Davies brings more than 15 years of experience in the hospitality and travel industry. She spent the past six years leading Club Med’s Pacific business, guiding the region through its recovery following the COVID-19 pandemic and helping it become one of the group’s five largest markets globally.

During her tenure, the Pacific business recorded strong performance, particularly across its ski resort portfolio. The team strengthened its direct sales and travel agency channels and was recognised as the Most Popular Accommodation Group at Australia’s National Travel Industry Awards for three consecutive years.

In 2025, Davies expanded her responsibilities to include Club Med’s emerging markets in Southeast Asia and the Pacific region, before taking on her latest appointment.

Her immediate priorities include supporting the opening of Club Med Borneo in Sabah, Malaysia, and overseeing the continued transformation of Club Med Cherating, which began its renovation in October 2026.

The group is also targeting stronger growth in Singapore, with an ambition to establish the market among Club Med’s ten largest globally over the next decade. The company expects growth to exceed 80 per cent during this period.

Davies will focus on strengthening the brand’s position as a premium all-inclusive holiday provider for families and couples, while expanding direct distribution and travel trade partnerships across Singapore, Malaysia and emerging markets.

Commenting on her appointment, Davies said: “I’m delighted to be taking on Singapore and Malaysia at such an important moment for Club Med in the region.”

She also highlighted the importance of the company’s travel industry relationships, saying: “None of this happens without our travel industry partners.”

Davies succeeds Olivier Monceau, whose tenure included the development of Club Med Borneo and the transformation plans for Club Med Cherating. Marc Letourneau has succeeded Davies as General Manager of Club Med Pacific.

The appointment reflects Club Med’s continued focus on regional expansion and strengthening its presence in Asia’s premium travel and hospitality market.
