Impact Hub, working with MetLife Foundation, is supporting 14 women entrepreneurs with disabilities through its ‘Building Entrepreneurial Access Model’ (BEAM) initiative. The programme is designed to equip participants with the practical skills, resources, and confidence needed to manage and grow their businesses.
As part of the scheme, the entrepreneurs received one-on-one mentorship and took part in specialist masterclasses covering digital communication, financial management, and inclusive business approaches. These sessions were aimed at helping them navigate challenges and establish sustainable ventures.
Women from different regions of the country took part in the six-month programme, which also featured a three-day residential boot camp centred on leadership development, business planning, and peer learning. Three community events were held to highlight their products and services and to help them connect with stakeholders across the public and private sectors. Participants were also given a monthly stipend for six months to support their business activities.
The initiative forms part of MetLife Foundation’s broader efforts to empower communities in Bangladesh.
