easyJet has become the first airline to partner with Women in Data®, in a move designed to support the next generation of women in data and technology across the aviation sector. The partnership aims to raise awareness of career opportunities, provide mentorship and education programmes, and create clear pathways for women into the growing number of data-driven roles at the airline.

The initiative forms part of easyJet’s broader commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, while reinforcing the airline’s focus on data-driven innovation to make travel “easy and affordable.” Through the collaboration, Women in Data® and easyJet will co-host recruitment campaigns, events at easyJet bases, and mentoring schemes for women aspiring to pursue careers in AI, data, and technology.

Opal Perry, Chief Data and Technology Officer at easyJet, said: “Data is central to how we innovate and deliver for our customers, and so our partnership with Women in Data® will play an important part of our focus on raising awareness of the fantastic career opportunities in data and technology at easyJet and support even more women to become the next generation leaders, who will help shape the future of aviation.”

Ruifan Liu, Senior Data Scientist at easyJet, added: “Being part of Women in Data® is incredibly empowering, as it provides a platform to connect with other women in the industry, share experiences, and continue developing both professionally and personally. At easyJet, data plays a vital role in innovating to enhance our customers’ experience, and it’s exciting to be part of a team where innovation is encouraged and diverse perspectives are truly valued.”

Roisin McCarthy, Founder of Women in Data®, said: “We’re proud to announce our strategic partnership with easyJet, who are the first airline to join the incredible line-up of Brand Partners supporting Women in Data®. This collaboration is a powerful step toward dismantling systemic barriers and driving meaningful change across the industry. With the ratio of men to women at 4:1 in data and tech, our growing network of ambassadors and partners helps amplify underrepresented voices and create a more inclusive future for Data and AI professionals.”

The new partnership complements easyJet’s existing diversity initiatives, including the Women in Tech Affinity Network, AccelerateHER, and the Global Female Leaders Programme, all designed to promote personal growth, leadership, and career advancement for women across the airline.

easyJet currently offers a wide variety of data and IT roles, from Data Management Leads to BI Analysts, supporting a rapidly expanding data community within the airline. More information about careers at easyJet can be found at: easyJet Careers – IT and Data.
