The Dubai Foundation for Women and Children (DFWAC) is set to launch Mallath, a groundbreaking self-help platform designed to support abused women, during GITEX 2025, taking place at the Dubai World Trade Centre from October 13 to 17. The initiative marks a major step forward in using technology to address women’s and children’s welfare issues and strengthen humanitarian and social efforts.

Mallath is the first self-help guide of its kind in the UAE and globally, reflecting the country’s leadership in deploying digital innovation for social causes. The platform empowers women to assess their situation independently through a flexible, user-guided system based on a series of tailored questions. The tool ensures full confidentiality, with users retaining sole access to their personal data and assessment results. DFWAC will utilise the anonymised data only at a collective level to inform and improve its programmes and services.

The system features a smart classification mechanism that determines the appropriate course of action based on each user’s responses. High-risk cases are automatically referred to relevant local authorities, while moderate and low-risk cases are directed toward counselling and psychological support sessions enhanced by artificial intelligence tools. These AI-driven resources aim to accelerate recovery and help users regain emotional stability.

Mallath also allows for ongoing development, including the addition of multilingual options and new interactive functions, ensuring it remains adaptable to user needs. The platform’s design centres on privacy, accessibility, and empowerment—enabling women to take control of their safety and wellbeing.

Alongside Mallath, DFWAC will also debut its newly upgraded Smart Case Management System at GITEX 2025. This digital system is tailored for use by multidisciplinary teams including social workers, psychologists, legal specialists, and shelter supervisors. It incorporates a range of specialised forms and intelligent data archiving tools to support accurate report generation, monitor performance, and guide the creation of awareness programmes that strengthen service quality and long-term sustainability.

Her Excellency Shaikha Saeed Al Mansoori, Acting Director-General of DFWAC, said the foundation’s participation in GITEX 2025 represents a key milestone in its mission to integrate technology with social care.
