BRAC Bank hosts international masterclass to empower women entrepreneurs

Women entrepreneurs from across Bangladesh attended BRAC Bank’s international masterclass, gaining mentorship, global insights, and practical tools for sustainable business growth.

BRAC Bank, in partnership with the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) – Bangladesh, hosted a two-day internationally standardised masterclass aimed at upskilling women entrepreneurs. The initiative, titled ‘UddogTARA Global Edge 2025’, was supported by the Gates Foundation and focused on equipping women business owners with global insights and practical tools for sustainable growth.

The programme, held on 29–30 September 2025 at BRAC Bank’s Head Office in Dhaka, welcomed 65 promising women entrepreneurs from across Bangladesh. K. M. Hasan Ripon, Managing Director of GEN Bangladesh, and senior BRAC Bank officials attended the sessions, highlighting the event’s focus on global standards and cross-border learning.

Renowned business coach Mick Walvisch from the Netherlands led the masterclass, helping participants define their business purpose and translate it into sustainable growth strategies. Through interactive sessions and practical exercises, attendees strengthened their leadership mindset, financial acumen, and strategic thinking to better navigate today’s competitive business environment.

The masterclass also provided participants with mentorship and networking opportunities, connecting them with both local and international experts. Attendees were able to exchange ideas, gain actionable insights, and build a network of like-minded women entrepreneurs committed to growing their businesses sustainably.

BRAC Bank has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting women-led enterprises in Bangladesh through a combination of training, financial inclusion, and strategic advisory services, underscoring the institution’s dedication to inclusive, impactful, and sustainable entrepreneurship.
