Hyderabad-based startup SCIINV Biosciences collaborates with World Trade Centre (WTC)- Shamshabad, India. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was officially signed by the two organizations. The outline of the MoU signifies the partnership to strengthen digital diagnostics to combat antimicrobial resistance (AMR).
SCIINV Biosciences is a Hyderabad-based startup founded by women entrepreneurs. The startup has developed AI/ML led digital diagnostic tool AMRx. It is clinically validated to combat antimicrobial resistance (AMR). The digital diagnostic tool AMRx, is developed in partnership with Sri Satya Sai Institute of Higher Learning (SSIHL).
Dr Uma Rani, CEO of SCIINV Biosciences signed the MoU along with Varaprasada Reddy Yarram, Chairman of World Trade Centre, Shamshabad, India. This partnered MoU aims to bring SCIINV BioSciences’ network with international academia and research organisations, focusing on scientific expertise in AMR and its proprietary digital diagnostic tool AMRx.
The partnership will make use of the extensive global network of World Trade Centre- Shamshabad, India. It is worth noting that World Trade Centre, Shamshabad is the first operational WTC in the Indian state of Telangana.
This partnership also expects to launch multiple digital diagnostic products for various bacterial infections that are detected in humans, animals and plants under an approach known as One Health.
Executive President Federation of Asian Biotech Associations (FABA), Prof Pallu Reddanna and Emeritus Professor, School of Life Sciences, University of Hyderabad attended the MoU signing ceremony. Prof Pallu Reddanna highlighted that the collaboration of strategic alliance between World Trade Centre, Shamshabad and SCIINV Biosciences will help the innovative diagnostic tools reach global markets and make it affordable to diagnose bacterial infections accurately while maintaining drug resistance across species.
