Balco Group has appointed Charlotte Mattsson as its new Group Chief Executive Officer, with the experienced business leader set to take over the role no later than the first quarter of 2027.

Mattsson joins Balco Group from JELD-WEN, where she currently serves as Vice President and General Manager for Northern Europe. She brings more than 25 years of experience across industry, construction-related businesses, technology and the service sector.

Before joining JELD-WEN, Mattsson held international leadership positions at companies including ASSA ABLOY, OpusCapita and Capgemini. Her career has included responsibility for business development, profitability improvement and organisational transformation across Nordic and European markets.

At Balco Group, Mattsson will succeed Johan Dyberg, who has been serving as Acting Group CEO following the departure of Camilla Ekdahl earlier this year. Dyberg will remain in the position until Mattsson takes up her new role.

Balco Group Chairman Anders Davidsson said Mattsson’s industrial and commercial background, together with her experience leading complex Nordic and European businesses through transformation, made her well suited to guide the company through its next phase.

Mattsson said she was looking forward to leading Balco Group and highlighted the company’s strong market position, products and potential for continued development and growth. She also noted the personal significance of joining a company with roots in Småland, where she grew up.

Mattsson holds an MSc in Industrial Engineering and Management from Linköping University. She was born and raised in Forsheda, outside Värnamo, and is now based in Stockholm.

Founded in Växjö in 1987, Balco Group specialises in innovative and energy-efficient balcony solutions for multi-dwelling buildings. The company employs approximately 500 people and operates across Scandinavia and other Northern European markets. Its revenue in 2025 was approximately SEK 1.3 billion.

Mattsson’s appointment places an experienced female executive at the helm of a listed Nordic industrial business as Balco Group looks to continue developing its operations and strengthening its position across Northern Europe.
