Female advocacy network Fast Forward 15 has agreed a new strategic partnership with Canadian tourism agency Destination Toronto. The collaboration aims to support women working across the global events, travel and hospitality industries. The long-term initiative focuses on improving commercial visibility, expanding industry networks and building career progression routes to help women secure executive roles.
The arrangement will immediately see Nicola Alexander join the Fast Forward 15 mentor community for the upcoming 2026–27 programme. Alexander currently serves as the UK Sales Director at Destination Toronto and brings more than 25 years of experience within the meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions sector. Both organisations confirmed that the joint initiative intends to advance operational inclusion and provide practical workplace opportunities.
The programme expansion comes as the hospitality and events industries face ongoing calls to improve corporate representation at executive levels. By connecting seasoned industry executives with emerging talent, the partnership aims to create structured development pathways for female professionals. Leaders from both groups stated that the collaboration will help challenge existing institutional barriers across international travel markets.
Fay Sharpe OBE, Founder of Fast Forward 15, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Destination Toronto as an official industry partner and delighted that Nicola will be joining our mentor community. It is incredibly important to work with organisations that genuinely share our values around inclusion, collaboration and empowering women to reach senior leadership positions.”
