The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) hosted the Omani-Uzbek Business Forum on Wednesday, aiming to boost trade relations, promote investments, and explore new export and import opportunities between the two nations.

The event was organised as part of a visit by a delegation of businesswomen from Uzbekistan, representing various industries such as real estate, design, electrical engineering, textiles, private education, medicine, and trade. Their visit provided a platform for meaningful discussions on strengthening economic ties and creating new business prospects.

One of the key focus areas of the forum was investment opportunities in Oman, with an emphasis on the incentives available to foreign investors and the wide range of sectors open for economic collaboration.

To facilitate direct business interactions, several B2B meetings were arranged between entrepreneurs from Oman and Uzbekistan. These meetings allowed businesspeople from both sides to discuss potential partnerships and joint ventures, paving the way for greater economic cooperation.

Adding to the significance of the event, an exhibition was held on the sidelines to showcase products created by Omani female entrepreneurs, highlighting their contributions to the country’s economic landscape and offering a glimpse into locally made goods.

The forum served as a vital step in reinforcing economic cooperation and unlocking new trade opportunities between Oman and Uzbekistan, setting the stage for a stronger partnership in the years to come.
