Docca, a company that claims to be “the first AI clinical documentation company,” has officially launched its services in the Asia-Pacific region. The firm is making waves with its innovative approach to tackling the often cumbersome task of clinical documentation, which has long been a source of frustration for healthcare professionals.

As part of its expansion into the APAC market, Docca has begun pilot programmes in clinics and schools across Australia, while also extending its operations to Indonesia and Singapore. This move marks a significant step in the company’s mission to streamline healthcare processes and reduce administrative overhead for medical practitioners.

Carmen Benitez, a well-known American serial entrepreneur, co-founded Docca and currently serves as its CEO. Benitez brings a wealth of experience, having previously been part of the JFDI technology startup accelerator, which is affiliated with the Global Accelerator Network. Before launching Docca, she also founded Fetch Plus, a Singapore-based social media company.

Docca’s core aim is to ease the burden on healthcare providers by automating and improving the clinical documentation process, which is often time-consuming and error-prone. With its advanced AI technology, the company hopes to free up healthcare professionals to focus more on patient care.

To further support its growth in the region, Docca has opened a pre-series A funding round, with a target of US$1.5 million. This investment will be used to strengthen its presence in APAC, build partnerships, and enhance the capabilities of its AI platform, ensuring it can deliver even more value to healthcare providers across the region.
