In a bid to promote gender equality within the company, CARS24 has instituted a Flow Time-Out Leave (period leave) for women employees without being locked to a specific day of the month. CARS24 currently has only 15% of its team as women.

“Starting this month, all women (including transgender people) at CARS24 can take the day off when they need to during their period. Why? Because I know and understand that it’s impossible to focus on anything when we are in pain,” said Vikram Chopra, co-founder and CEO, CARS24 in a blog post.

“This isn’t just a policy—it’s personal. It’s about recognizing that our female and LGBTQIA+ Autonauts deserve better. For those of us who menstruate, every month, you’ll have the chance to take a day for yourself, no questions asked, no approvals needed. It’s about taking control of your health and well-being because you shouldn’t have to push through pain to prove your dedication.”

Vikram also shared a note with the men on the team. “Our female colleagues expressing that they are taking flow time out shouldn’t make us uncomfortable. This is a part of life; it’s why we have life. While most of us will never fully understand what women go through, we can at least trust them when they say they must test this out.”
