The Women’s Council of Realtors has appointed Tripti Kasal as its new Chief Executive Officer to guide the 9,000-member organisation through a period of significant industry change.
Kasal brings more than 25 years of residential real estate experience to the role. The selection follows a collaborative recruitment process with the council leadership team to vet numerous highly qualified, inspirational candidates. The appointment comes at a time when women represent 62% of the real estate profession, having maintained a majority since 1978. Despite these figures, the council notes that women remain underrepresented within executive positions across the sector.
In her new capacity, Kasal will oversee initiatives to prepare and support more women for senior leadership roles. These efforts will span brokerages, associations, MLSs, technology companies, advocacy initiatives, entrepreneurship and community development.
“Real estate needs well-prepared leaders who can build consensus, make difficult decisions, advocate effectively and guide organizations through profound change,” said Cheryl Keller, 2026 national president of Women’s Council of Realtors. “Women’s Council has been preparing women to meet that challenge for generations, and Tripti is uniquely qualified to help us expand that impact.”
Kasal’s career includes senior leadership positions across brokerage operations, market expansion, recruiting, coaching and business development. She previously spent 10 years in senior management with Baird & Warner, serving as senior vice president and regional manager for the Chicago metropolitan area. Most recently, she held the role of senior vice president of member engagement for Leading Real Estate Companies of the World, where she managed the US membership services team.
Earlier in her career, Kasal assisted in launching the Chicago operation of an internet-based residential brokerage. In that role, she expanded the sales team from five to more than 40 agents in under a year. She also previously owned a boutique brokerage in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago.
“I am passionate about the future of residential real estate and the role well-trained, well-supported leaders must play in shaping it,” Kasal said. “Our industry needs leaders who are prepared to listen, build trust, advocate effectively and help others navigate change with confidence.”
The new Chief Executive Officer will focus on expanding membership, broadening leadership education, and increasing participation in the Performance Management Network. Her mandate also includes strengthening local and state networks, deepening corporate partnerships and increasing the business value of the nationwide referral network.
