Guinness Nigeria has named Vivien Shobo as its new director

Guinness Nigeria Plc has announced that Vivien Shobo will join the company as an independent non-executive director, starting September 1, 2024. The company announced this in a Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX).

Shobo is currently the CEO of FVS Advisory Partners. Before this role, she was the CEO of Agusto & Co., a Pan African credit rating agency, from September 2003 to December 2019. She strengthened Agusto & Co.’s market presence during her tenure and expanded its product offerings and revenue streams.

She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and has earned an MBA in Finance from Manchester Business School in the UK. Additionally, she has completed management and leadership programs at Harvard Business School, Wharton School, and Lagos Business School.

Shobo is widely recognized for her deep knowledge of macroeconomic variables and economic research. She has managed a variety of industry reports across sectors including Banking, Oil and Gas, Power, and Manufacturing. Her expertise has made her a prominent speaker at capital market conferences in Africa and internationally.

In addition to her professional achievements, Shobo is a lifelong member of Women in Management, Business, and Public Service (WIMBIZ), a non-profit organization focused on enhancing women’s presence in leadership positions. She is also affiliated with the International Women’s Society and the Nigerian Chartered Institute of Directors (CIoD).

The company disclosed that “The appointment of Shobo aligns with Guinness Nigeria Plc’s commitment to strengthening its leadership with seasoned professionals who bring diverse perspectives and deep expertise.”
