The recently concluded International Woman Leadership Conference (TIWLC) 2024 was a celebration of perseverance and resilience. It was truly a gathering of women from different backgrounds who have stood their ground to amplify their voices, share insights, and inspire transformative change.

The theme for this year was “Women in Leadership… Leading with Courage”. The event witnessed many remarkable women from South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Zimbabwe, the US, the UK, and beyond. This event has served many women as a beacon of hope, giving them the courage to embrace their uniqueness and culture.

Mlambo-Ngcuka said, “In leadership, you must remember to be authentic. There is only one you, and you are enough. People will know what you stand for, so you have to be intentional about your beliefs. You also have to keep learning and developing intrinsic value.“

She also highlighted the importance of genuineness in a leader and how it plays an important role in their position. Her message was widely received with an open heart during the event.

Senior vice-president of International Operations at Dubai Economy & Tourism, Ibukun Awosika, a Nigerian entrepreneur, author, and organizer of TIWLC, said, “ This is a moment of empowerment, connection, and transformation for every woman. The conversations among women today will influence the future. I assure you that no one will leave this conference unchanged, it’s a life-altering experience.”

Many notable speakers who were present at the TIWLC Dubai 2024 conference include Portia PJ Derby, Dr Sam Adeyemi, Hadiza Bala Usman, Rt Hon Nick Hurd, Josephine Wapakabulo, Lena Zamchiya, Segun Ogunsanya, Risto Siilasmaa, Damilola Ogunbiyi, and more.
