The TMRW Vault, a liquid nitrogen smart tank and digital workstation that blends digital innovation with manual storage access for frozen eggs, embryos, and sperm, is set to launch soon, according to TMRW Life Scienc

After years of working with reproductive clinics and embryologists, the company which has been creating solutions to modernize frozen IVF specimen storage and management since 2018, developed this new option. Clinics can now choose from a wider range of cryostorage solutions, thanks to the TMRW Vault, including onsite or offsite, liquid or vapor, manual or automated storage.

Louis Villalba, Chief Executive Officer of TMRW Life Sciences, said “Since 2018, we’ve been developing solutions that modernize and elevate the storage and management of frozen IVF specimens for fertility clinics – and having ingested more than 350,000 specimens, we’ve learned that when it comes to cryostorage, it’s not a one-size-fits-all-clinics approach.”. “The TMRW Vault was the missing puzzle piece in our comprehensive cryostorage offering. Now, we have a solution that can adjust to any clinic’s storage needs.” he added.

A few of the main advantages of the TMRW Vault are its scalability—a single tank can hold up to ten traditional dewars and accommodate up to 1,470 patients in one-third of the footprint—digital specimen management through RFID technology, manual access for increased speed and efficiency, and advanced monitoring through TMRW’s Overwatch system, which conducts thousands of daily checks.

Additional benefits include EMR connectivity to reduce manual inputs and keep correct patient data, fast installation within a day, and compatibility with the TMRW ecosystem for adopting additional solutions such as offsite storage at the TMRW Biorepository.

Currently, TMRW manages the specimens of over 50,000 patients and collaborates with more than 70 clinics, which accounts for around 25% of the patient cycle volume in the United States. In the upcoming weeks, a number of top clinics are getting ready to deploy the TMRW Vault.

“What truly sets TMRW apart is their dedication to adapting and enhancing their solutions to meet the unique needs of each lab and clinic,” said Bec Holmes, Senior Vice President, Lab Operations at CCRM Fertility. “Their deep understanding of IVF labs and ability to innovate has resulted in a solution that blends technology with the practical demands of everyday operations.” He added.

TMRW Life Sciences was established in 2018 and has created technology that enables the safe management of frozen specimens through automated robotics, digital identification and tracking, and round-the-clock remote monitoring.
