Takeda Biopharmaceuticals India has appointed Annapurna Das as its new General Manager for India, effective May 16, 2024.

In her new role, Das will lead the company’s operations in India, focusing on ensuring patient access to its innovative medicines and vaccines. With over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry across India and Southeast Asia, Das brings a wealth of expertise to Takeda. She has held key leadership positions at various multinational healthcare companies, including Miltenyi Biotec, Sanofi, GSK, MSD, Pfizer, and Organon, covering sales, marketing, corporate strategy, and business development.

Takeda India specializes in various therapeutic areas such as gastrointestinal and inflammation, rare diseases, plasma-derived therapies, and oncology. With Das’s leadership, the company aims to continue its mission of delivering impactful healthcare solutions to patients across India.
