Dreem Health, the leading digital sleep clinic under the Sunrise Group, has unveiled a new women’s health programme designed to support those experiencing sleep disturbances due to hormonal changes. The initiative aims to assist women affected by pregnancy, PCOS, perimenopause, menopause, and PMS, offering a comprehensive approach to diagnosing and treating sleep disorders linked to these conditions.

Sleep disorders have long been a significant issue for women, yet they often go undiagnosed. In the U.S. alone, nearly one in five women has been diagnosed with sleep apnea, and an estimated 80% of cases remain undetected. Research has shown that hormonal fluctuations contribute to sleep-disordered breathing (SBD), including obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), which is known to double in prevalence among women post-menopause.

Recognising this gap in healthcare, Sunrise and Dreem Health have developed an end-to-end solution that combines advanced technology, a digital care model, and a dedicated team of professionals. Dreem Health’s licensed providers will assess female patients, diagnose conditions using the Sunrise at-home sleep test device, and craft personalised treatment plans or refer them to partner specialists when needed.

“As a company that is set to innovate the global sleep health market by ensuring disorders are adequately recognised, diagnosed, and treated, it was important for us to take a step back and identify who will best benefit from our care,” said Laurent Martinot, Founder and CEO of Sunrise. “The relationship between a woman’s hormones and her sleeping patterns have long been overlooked, even though the research is there. Through this targeted offering, we are underscoring our commitment to advancing sleep health, and now women’s health, by bringing much-needed attention to a women’s health journey which often begins with sleep.”

Women currently make up 43% of Dreem Health’s patient base, underscoring the need for a programme specifically tailored to their needs. By introducing this initiative, Sunrise Group is addressing a critical yet often neglected area of healthcare, helping women struggling with hormonal imbalances to identify and manage underlying sleep conditions.

This launch follows Sunrise’s acquisition of Dreem Health’s management in 2024, strengthening its position as a leader in global sleep care. Dreem Health’s digital clinic currently operates in 35 states across the U.S., with plans for nationwide availability by late 2025.
