
Stephanie Fadous was named Chief Actuary at Manulife, with effect from May 9, 2025. Steve Finch, who was just appointed President and CEO of Manulife Asia, is succeeded by Ms Fadous. She will report to Phil Witherington, the company’s new president and CEO, and be a member of Manulife’s Executive Leadership Team. In addition, Hung Ko has been appointed as Global Head of Treasury and Investor Relations in Expanded Role
As the current Global Treasurer and Head of Capital Management at Manulife, Ms. Fadous has been instrumental in creating and implementing international funding initiatives as well as overseeing the organization’s interactions with banks and rating agencies. Ms. Fadous was in charge of Manulife’s worldwide adoption of IFRS 9 and IFRS 17 accounting standards before this. She has also worked with Manulife in the Asset Liability Management, Corporate Development, Group Actuarial, and Global Finance departments. With a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science, Ms. Fadous is a Fellow of both the Society of Actuaries and the Canadian Institute of Actuaries.

Hung Ko, who is now Manulife’s Global Head of Investor Relations, will take on the role of Global Head of Treasury and Investor Relations upon Ms. Fadous’ appointment. With more than 20 years of expertise in the insurance sector, Mr. Ko offers a wealth of knowledge to this enlarged mandate. In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant (Illinois) and a CFA Charterholder, he has a Master of Business Administration from McGill University.
