Reddit has introduced fresh profile tools for companies using Reddit Pro, the platform’s dedicated suite designed to help brands engage with communities and tap into trending discussions.
Announced on Thursday, the new update generates and suggests profile bios for businesses when they register on Reddit Pro. By simply entering their website, businesses can choose from a range of auto-suggested descriptions, making it easier to set up a professional presence on the site.
Additionally, businesses can now highlight posts and comments from relevant Reddit communities directly on their profiles. They’ll also have the ability to cross-post conversations related to their brand or industry that appear on the Reddit Pro Trends Tab. This feature, introduced earlier this year, allows companies to monitor discussions around specific topics using keyword and phrase analysis.
“Businesses of all sizes have an opportunity on Reddit, where over half of all online purchasing conversations take place,” said Jim Squires, EVP of business marketing and growth at Reddit. “Our new Reddit Pro profile tools are helping them build presence and credibility with greater ease and confidence. And in doing so, we’re enriching our communities with passionate, subject-matter experts while also empowering businesses to grow and succeed.”
The update follows a strong financial quarter for Reddit. The company reported $392.4 million in revenue—a 61% increase year-on-year—and 108.1 million daily active unique users, marking a 31% rise from the previous year, and surpassing Wall Street expectations.
