Mercedes-Benz Egypt appoints Stefanie Volz as first female CEO

Mercedes-Benz Egypt has named Stefanie Volz as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective October 1, 2024. This landmark decision marks Stefanie as the first woman to take on the CEO position at Mercedes-Benz Egypt. The automaker is dedicated to empowering women and pushing for gender diversity in the automotive industry, aiming to create a fairer, more inclusive workplace for everyone.

Stefanie joins with an impressive track record and over ten years of hands-on experience in the automotive industry. Her journey began in 2012 when she joined the Daimler CAReer Program, paving the way for her to progress rapidly through roles in customer service, product management, and business development across Germany, the UK, and Japan. Before accepting this position in Egypt, Stefanie was at the helm of the eMobility & Sustainability division for Mercedes-Benz Own Retail Germany, where her focus on sustainable practices and CO2 neutrality positioned the company at the forefront of eco-innovation.

Mercedes-Benz Egypt expressed confidence that Stefanie’s international experience and forward-thinking approach will strengthen its position in the Egyptian market. The company sees her appointment as a promising step toward sustaining its legacy of excellence while advancing its innovation goals.
