The Ad Council, a leading US organisation that uses communications to deliver large-scale social impact, has announced the appointment of Jennifer Mamlet as its new Chief Development Officer.

Mamlet is returning to the council after more than a decade, having served as Senior Vice President of Development until 2012. She most recently held the role of Acting President and CEO of JCC Association of North America.

In her new position, Mamlet will head up all corporate and philanthropic giving. She will be responsible for building strategic partnerships and expanding funding to support the Ad Council’s portfolio of initiatives. Current programmes include work on mental health, firearm injury prevention, and skills-based hiring. Mamlet will also oversee management of the Ad Council’s Board of Directors, a body of 150 senior leaders from media, advertising, marketing, and technology, chaired by Rita Ferro, President of Global Advertising at The Walt Disney Company.

Lisa Sherman, President and CEO of the Ad Council, welcomed Mamlet’s appointment. “We are so thrilled to welcome Jen back to the Ad Council,” she said. “She is bringing with her a deep understanding of our unique business model and two decades of transformative experience in the philanthropic space. Jen’s exceptional leadership and passion for our values and mission will enhance our work and our impact.”

Mamlet has a long track record in fundraising and leadership, particularly in driving growth, strengthening donor engagement, and developing high-value partnerships. She now serves in a national role at the JCC Association of North America, having previously led the JCC of Central New Jersey.

Reflecting on her new role, Mamlet said: “After 13 proud years working in and on behalf of the Jewish community, I’m excited to return home to the Ad Council. There is no other organization that sits so powerfully at the intersection of social impact and storytelling, uniquely able to harness the strength of the media, advertising, and marketing industries to drive meaningful change. It’s truly an honor to return as a member of the leadership team.”

Mamlet holds a BA in Sociology and Spanish from Bucknell University and a Master of Social Work from Columbia University.
