Spanish apparel giant Inditex is set to introduce its trendy, youth-oriented brand Bershka to the Indian market, building on the rapid success of its Zara brand. The inaugural physical store for Bershka in India is slated to open in Mumbai in early 2025, as confirmed by a brand representative to FashionNetwork.com.

The label is set to launch its inaugural physical store at Phoenix Palladium Mall in Mumbai’s Lower Parel. The store is presently in the midst of renovations, according to Apparel Resources. The new Bershka store will be situated adjacent to an upcoming Uniqlo outlet at Phoenix Palladium Mall, which is also set to launch soon. The mall features a diverse array of international fashion brands, including American Eagle, Burberry, Calvin Klein Jeans, Emporio Armani, Gant, and Gas, as highlighted on its website.

Inditex’s most recent annual report highlights the company’s plans to introduce Bershka and Zara Home to the Indian market this year. Additionally, Inditex is exploring the possibility of launching its Pull&Bear brand in 2025, which would strengthen its commitment to India’s expanding fashion industry. Given Zara’s successful history in India, there are high hopes for Bershka’s performance in this vibrant market.

An Inditex Spokesperson said, “We are excited to bring Bershka to India, aiming to offer the latest fashion trends to the vibrant youth market here. Our expansion into India represents a significant milestone in our global strategy, and we look forward to serving the fashion needs of the young Indian consumer.

Bershka’s entry is anticipated to elevate the retail scene in India by offering more choices for trendy young shoppers and intensifying competition in the market.
