Alwyn Rosel has been named the new executive director of IdeaSpace, a business accelerator in the Philippines, and QBO Innovation, replacing Jay Fajardo.

Rosel has 13 years of startup ecosystem expertise, having held important positions at AIM-Dado Banatao Incubator, Upscale Innovation Hub, and e27 in addition to her former position as deputy director of QBO Innovation.

Under Fajardo’s direction, IdeaSpace Ventures provided funding to seven firms in 2024 and during a four-year period, the average portfolio return was 1.5 times the initial investment. Additionally, he made programs like the ReSEED Program stronger. IdeaSpace and QBO Innovation have sponsored more than 700 organizations, nurtured more than 250 entrepreneurs, and invested more than 300 million pesos (US$5.24 million) since their founding.

Now in charge, Rosel guides IdeaSpace and QBO Innovation in their endeavor to assist early-stage businesses around the Philippines by organizing more than 100 events and initiatives each year.
