Dubai South, the biggest master-planned community centred around aviation, logistics, and real estate, has successfully concluded the initial phase of the UAE’s autonomous vehicle trials in collaboration with Evocargo.
Within a restricted section of the Dubai South Logistics District, the experiments were conducted over a predetermined route.
For use in the Logistics District going forward, Evocargo tested and verified the hardware, software, and dependability of its unmanned electric truck, the Evocargo N1.
With a focus on safety in mixed traffic scenarios involving interactions with other players such as cars, trucks, and pedestrians, autonomous navigation on a predetermined path was explored. The Evocargo N1’s performance in object detection, accident avoidance with moving obstacles, emergency stops, and collision avoidance was evaluated.
