Multi-talented Bridgit Mendler is an American actress, Singer and now a CEO of a satellite start-up.

The famous American sitcom actress who has starred in “Good luck Charlie” and “Wizards of Waverly Place” is launching a new career in the Space Industry named as Northwood Space. Her husband Griffin Cleverly and Shaurya Luthra are Co-founders of Northwood Space.

“The vision is a data highway between Earth and space,” Mendler told CNBC. “Space is getting easier along so many different dimensions but still the actual exercise of sending data to and from space is difficult. You have difficulty finding an access point for contacting your satellite.” she said.

Born on December 18, 1992 and named Bridgit Claire Mendler began her career at a very young age. She was a popular child actress who acted in various films like – Alice Upside Down (2007), The Clique (2008) and Labor Pains (2009). In 2009 Mendler joined Disney Channel where she portrayed Juliet van Heusen in Wizards of Waverly Place (2009–2012), Olivia White in the film Lemonade Mouth (2011), and Teddy Duncan in the Disney series Good Luck Charlie (2010–2014).

Bridgit Mendler is also a well known American singer and a songwriter. Her Hello My Name Is… debut studio album which made it to number 30 on Billboard 200 in 2012. She is also the co-writer of all 15 songs of this album. 

In 2013, Mendler began to focus on her studies. She completed her degree in Anthropology from the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles, California. She completed her graduate degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 2020 and started working on her Ph.D with MIT’s Center for Constructive Communications and Social Machines group. She was also enrolled at Harvard Law School for JD (Doctorate of Law).

Mendler’s philanthropic efforts mirror the magnitude of her achievements in her professional career. She has actively participated in various initiatives, including the Pro-social “Green” initiative, “We Can Change the World” campaign, and more, tirelessly raising funds to support these causes. Additionally, she has been dedicated to raising donations for UNICEF. In 2010, Mendler took on the role of ambassador for “First Book,” an organization focused on promoting literacy and providing books to children in need. Two years later, she became an ambassador for the “Give With Target” campaign, collaborating with the department store chain Target to raise funds for educational reforms in the United States. Mendler’s commitment to combating bullying earned her the “Role Model of the Year award” from “Common Sense Media” in 2012. She has also lent her voice to public campaigns like “Delete Digital Drama” and has actively participated in events such as the “World Challenge Marathon” for the Save the Child foundation, among others.

Recently on X, formerly twitter, Mendler announced good news that her Satellite start-up company has received $6.3 million as seed money.

She also shared the photo of her husband and their son’s silhouette picture and stated “The other news I wanted to share is I’m a mama to sweet 4yo boy. Started fostering in 2021 adopted near Christmas of 2022. I am so lucky – being a parent is the biggest gift and most defining experience there is that’s my news for now folks”

Bridgit Mendler has outperformed in all the roles that she has taken up so far and aims to make significant contributions in the Space Industry as well.
