Beth O’Callahan appointed to new Chief Administrative Officer role at NetApp

In a calculated step to enhance its operational efficiency and collaboration, NetApp, a leading intelligent data infrastructure company, has appointed Beth O’Callahan to a newly defined Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) role. This appointment marks a significant evolution in NetApp’s leadership structure, aimed at driving business execution and fostering a more integrated organization.

As CAO, Beth O’Callahan will continue to oversee Legal, Compliance, Government Relations, and Sustainability, while taking on additional responsibilities for Human Resources, Workplace Experience, and Corporate Communications. This consolidation of critical functions under her leadership is designed to promote greater synergy and alignment across the company. O’Callahan will also retain her position as NetApp’s Corporate Secretary, effective March 3.

George Kurian, NetApp’s CEO, highlighted the strategic importance of this appointment: “With Beth at the helm in this expanded capacity, we are strengthening our ability to execute with agility while fostering a more integrated and high-achieving organization. Beth O’Callahan joined NetApp in 2013 and has been instrumental in shaping the company’s legal and compliance framework. She is renowned for her enterprise mindset, ability to build high-performing teams, and dedication to diversity and ethical technology use. Over her career, she has received numerous accolades, including awards from the National Diversity Council and the Silicon Valley Business Journal.

Beyond her professional achievements, O’Callahan is an active advocate for education and legal equity. She serves on the Board of Directors for Bay Scholars and the Law Foundation of Silicon Valley, reflecting her commitment to community engagement and social responsibility.
